40s metal recipe box, looks like 3 books on a shelf.
Rare vintage recipe box, beige/yellow, flanked by same color "bookshelf". The box is metal and it swings forward to open to the recipe cards.
Book details on outside are worn over time, but still very visible.
"Bread Cakes" "Desserts Candies" "Salads Meats"
"Shelves" look to have been painted at one point to match the books.
Has little molded feet on metal bottom, and hanging holes on the back . Hold a standard size modern recipe card. Also is equipped to hold a recipe card on back of base while cooking. (see pictures for details)
